Planet in Peril

               Planet in peril is a dvd with Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta and they go to Greenland. When there at Greenland they talk about global warming. Global warming is making Greenland melt. When Greenland melts it will make tons and tons of water and other places will flood.

                The thing that I thought was interesting was the global warming one and how the ice melted. It was interesting because when the ice melts it turns into water and the water goes under the ice and then the ice moves. When the ice melts it creates much more water and then places flood or sink. This is bad because then eventually everywhere would start flooding.

Question Four

               What are the major political ideas contained in the Declaration of Independance? Are these ideas important today? Thinking about the people in your government. The of government is in the consent of the governed. When a government does not protect these rights, it is in the responsibility of the people to establish that government institute a new one.

               Thinking about the people in your government. Patriots are brave because they really wanted freedom a lot. Loyalists were scared because they did not want King George III to get mad.  Neutralists were afraid of both sides.

               The origin of the government is in the consent of the governed. "It wasn't necessarily the fact that the colonists couldn't represent in the parliament it was more the thought that we weren't respected enough to represent the own government."

               When a government does not protect these rights it is the responsibility of the people to establish a new one. When the colonists were appressed decided to start their own form of government, "illegal."

Independence Update

               Since my last post about independence there was 9 Loyalists, 5 Patriots and 3 Naturalists. Now there is 10 Patriots, 7 Loyalists and 0 Naturalists. I have 122 POWS and A lot of people on my team. Unfortunately the best debater is on the Loyalists.

               what is fun is doing PACT's on people, we can burn their house down or tar and feather them which is funny because I can say to my friends "I'm a Tar and Feather you!!!". What's annoying is that there is so many people that it is just a huge blob and everybody is pretty much screaming the whole time.

Math Night

               For Math Night Josh and I did an airplane project. We made a big paper airplane, a medium paper airplane and a small paper airplane. We wanted to see which one went farther, the bigger one went farthest then the medium then the small one. The biggest one flew farther because it glided the most.

               I liked that my group got to do paper airplanes because we got to throw them in the gym and then measure how far they went, which was fun. What was disappointing was that Josh was not there so I had to do my station the whole time. What was great was that there was a raffle and my grandma (who lives in France) won a trip to Lake Chelan!!
